I rode around with my mgp growler for about 2 weeks w/o shimming the needles. It rode rough at low speeds, and would gurgle and pop and make horrible cracking noises when I let off the throttle or rode at slow speeds.
After I shimmed 2x 3mm washers on each needle the bike ran way more smoother and sounds way better.
You will lose mpg though. By shimming the needles youre allowing more gas to go through the carbs.
edit: imo the mgp growler looks way cooler then the dan moto
