Put bike in neutral, kickstand down, key on and try to push the start button. Does it try to turn over and start?
Try exact same procedure with kickstand up.

Bike starts up fine in neutral with the kick stand up I'm trying to remember if i tried it with the kickstand down but I would have to try it again another day because its in my friends garage
