Like the others said, they Yoshimura kit is completely cut free. You could also re-rivet the stock turn signal holders if you ever wanted to go back to the stock fender.

As far as the splicing goes, I just cut the stock connector for the tag light and soldered it to the Yoshimura tag light wire. A bit of heat shrink tubing, and it looks like it was stock.
