All this makes me wonder a little if I
really want a bike. Scares the crap outta me to think of being in an accident like the ones described here. But then, I think about the joy of riding, the pleasure of working on the bike, and that fear is pushed aside a little.

Funny, we watch NASCAR for the crashes, but bikes on the track are safer than on the street. Maybe that's a false distinction on my part. How many cages get into deadly or near-deadly accidents every day?
