Mysterious electrical issue

I have a radar detector that is direct-wired into the battery.

The radar detector is a Escort Passport 9500xi, which has a GPS chip. In the past few weeks, the GPS chip will go haywire and lose GPS lock once the engine speed exceeds 6000rpm.

The problem is not with the radar detector; I put it into my car and the GPS chip works just fine. Therefore, I'm suspecting something is going haywire in the electrical system on my bike. I've already replaced the battery to see if that was the issue, and that did not fix the issue.

Could the regulator be bad, or should I look into other potential issues?
