You will also need high speed skills. You will need to be competent looking for hazards (cars often drive over stuff that will ruin your day so you gotta keep distance but also look at how they are moving to see if they are trying to drive over stuff).
These things come with experience but how quickly depends on the individual, what and how they practice, etc. An arbitrary deadline puts on extra pressure which may not be a good thing.
