The shift from 1st to 2nd is an instant release of clutch. Slipping it won't get the wheel up.
I wouldn't call what I do in 1st slipping it either... I'm just not dropping the clutch completely, like I do for every other gear.
I have slipped it a few times during my practices, and I can feel a difference in the methods.
Hope my description kinda gives a decent idea of it...I'm more of a do'er/show'er than an ex-plainer
