stock jetting is pretty smooth. lacks top end power though. you can swap needles just fine, and the clip on those needles is equivalent to adding washers. slight difference would be the needle taper but you're getting into very tiny differences in effect at that point. even with a stock exhaust you can rejet to get better performance, but a full pipe with a proper jetting will get you the best bang
