When I ride to work, I am wear dress socks, when I ride for fun, I wear athletic socks (preferably the over-knee variety with three gaudy stripes - on those days, I also wear really tight, really aggressively cut running shorts b/c "I'm too sexy").

I wear the Rev'It Airwave pants, which function well as over pants and well on their own. They flow air well, though when wearing dress slacks under them, my legs cook even at highway speed. I recommend them, but they're a bit pricey as most Rev'It gear tends to be.

I hadn't considered the point about the Vertigo air not flowing air except at track speed. Generally when commuting, I am doing 70-80 MPH, which is probably enough to blow air through the boot. Alas, I will just deal with my schweaty tootsies.

Any thoughts on the Sidi Doha boots? I am not inclined to think they'd be a good option because they're not over-the-ankle footwear, but I'd like your thoughts.
