The new engine is built for more torque down low. The last gen produce 18.4 Nm torque @ 9750 RPM. The new engine produces 21 Nm @ 8000 RPM. CBR needs 8500 RPM to produce that ammount of torque. Beside better initial acceleration, also more usable final gear.
