Funny enough I just brought my insurance today, in Britain we have three tears since auto insurance is mandatory by law, third party, third party fire and theft & fully comprehensive, price difference is £150, £250, £420 per year, i've got fully comp but I have to pay the first £250 of any claim.
It's a riders policy so it covers me for any motorcycle / scooter I own up to 250cc, so I could get a 125cc scooter and dirt bike etc as well and the only extra I would pay would be for petrol.
Worth it imo.
