I tried that out of desperation when nothing was working. When that failed I ordered the impact hammer that had attachments to but the included Phillips bit onto my pneumatic impact wrench. This was the only thing that would budge it for me, without a significant risk of stripping the screw head. I've been enjoying the Throttlemeisters I put in the stock ends place, although I very rarely lock the throttle.
