Same reason every person I stop for weaving within their lane says almost the same thing to me every single time... "I was weaving? I didn't even realize!"
You ever used a cell phone and drove at the same time? Ever? Texts or phone calls. Thank about it... be honest. Ever?
If so, then you have weaved within your lane.

I never claimed that I had you all figured out, although that doesn't seem to be the most daunting task on todays to-do list.

That's your opinion. What matters is:
A) How it was formed in the first place.
B) how you pass your OPINION off as fact.

I'm sure you and your guest had absolutely nothing to do with the police being called to your residence for an intruder. The police always walk into people's houses and menace them for no apparent reason.

I think your locale (Socialist republik of IL) has more to do with your encounters with lies, bad judgment and insults than anything else. If you feel you've been wronged by an
individual officer, perhaps you should have done something about it then, like contacting his/her supervisor or filing a complaint, instead of insulting an entire profession anonymously (and ignorantly) on the internet?
All the best.
