Most of my riding is in town, so I keep my revs high for nimbleness... but it's loud and whiny. I don't want to ride with earplugs because hearing things seems useful.

I've looked at the Area P exhaust with quiet core and it seems awesome, but discontinued. Is it possible to get a 2-1 header/pipes and use the stock can? Is there a point?

Would 2-1 stock can be louder than 2? Seems like more would be going through one can so it would be louder overall.

I'm a starving college student wanting to reduce the high pitch ... whining the stock exhaust makes. Any ideas are appreciated.
You could always try and gut the stock cans.
