As a former pre-gen owner, a new-gen owner, and now a 300 owner; I can tell you conclusively that the pregen would get clobbered. None of these bikes are about straight line speed, but the ranking of acceleration and/or top speed is pretty clear when comparing stock bikes:
300 > pre-gen > new-gen
