The 2005 is the only R6S model to have the inverted forks. They continued the R6S model as a low cost solution past 2005, but kept them like the 03-04. It's kinda funny, but the 05 is a Frankenstein and it seems to have gotten the best race parts with the same fairings. The brembo MC is much better than the other years and it came with the inverted forks.
I doubt I'll do a retrofit. Working on putting the fairings on is nothing like the 250. It would take me 5x as long to pull the parts off to get to the headlights. That's not the reason I wouldn't do it though. I need to recoup all the money I've sunk into it. Maybe when I've nothing else to do, I might.
I rode it tonight to pick up dinner. It's quite a bit faster than the 250. LOL.
I did notice it puts out a ridiculous amount of heat on the back of my legs though. It'll be a good winter commuter for sure. haha.
