CA Highways are limited to 70 mph. CHP usually has a little bit of leeway, but you certainly can get pulled over at 75.

Trucks are limited to 55mph. Many of them go faster, but cruising 55 will put you right with a whole bunch of the trucks, and it's not unsafe.
