But don't let me rain on your parade, congrats on a new exhaust!! Your bike will love you!! Check out some info on jetting. I suggest keeping the airbox, pulling the snorkel, going up a size (or however much is needed) on the main jets, and then raising your needles as much as required with washers. Much cheaper than jet kits.
Pulling the snorkel will give your exhaust a fuller tone and make the bike rev a little more freely without making excessive noise like a pod filter does.

You bet!! I am planning on removing the snorkle, and adding 2-3 washers to the needle to start. I know the 250 runs rich on top, so is that the opt setup to raise the main jet one size? With regards to it being a lot louder then the QC, I guess thats what ear plugs are for
