Wax the bike real good. The worst thing is what is will do to you chain and sprocket so make sure you clean and lube, clean and lub, clean and lub...

Don't be afraid to take it to the $.50 car wash (gues there like $1.00 or more now. Good clean water rinse. Becareful of the chain. Don't hit that with the pressure hose. I used to ride in upstate NY... did a little of the winter stuff but I used to wash and clean the bike like weekly... used GUNK on EVERYTHING, including the chorme and paint. Rinsed it off with cold water. Worked Great! and then I would clean and lube, clean and lube, clean and lube... (only did it once if I wasn't riding in the rain or snow)
