Don't be afraid to take it to the $.50 car wash (gues there like $1.00 or more now. Good clean water rinse. Becareful of the chain. Don't hit that with the pressure hose. I used to ride in upstate NY... did a little of the winter stuff but I used to wash and clean the bike like weekly... used GUNK on EVERYTHING, including the chorme and paint. Rinsed it off with cold water. Worked Great!  and then I would clean and lube, clean and lube, clean and lube... (only did it once if I wasn't riding in the rain or snow) |
Noted! I can't wait to buy a scott oiler!! Then I won't have to worry about the chain as much! Plus from everything I've read, they last much longer with a scottoiler installed!
