It's all been said. I was looking for a good starter bike, hated the Rebel, and walked into the dealership to look at a Nighthawk or a dual sport.
One dealer was trying to push me to stuff that was too big - GSX650F, the 600s, so I politely sat on them before taking my leave... Hated them.
Went to a different dealer, looked at a KLR650 out front and realized it was taller than me. Went in, saw the blue machine, sat on it and said... "Yeah, this is it. Wrap it up." Surprised the friends I had with me and the sales guy.
