There are legitimate reasons for owning a 1k. Size is one of them. If you're a big guy, a bigger bike may suit you better.
Also, you may just plain *like* more engine. I hate seeing us stratify the sportbike world even more by hating on the people who don't ride 250s. I already hate the fact that we have the Harley/sportbike split going on; I don't like seeing the jeers against the people who don't ride the same size of bike.
