Not really. I adjusted my valves at 7.5k and if I remember 2-3 of them were too tight. Before I adjusted it, everytime I ride on the freeway at about 80mph at 9k RPM, when I get off the freeway, I feel the side of the fairings with my knees and it's hot. I rather be safe and adjust it ever 7.5k miles. After I adjusted it, everything was fine.
