Yup, at least in the winter. So I was wearing one at the time. I'm sure it does, in fact help. AND, my EXO1000 has inflatable cheek pads which helps seal up some of the air cavities (surprisingly cool feature!). I'm just so spoiled by good ear plugs that it felt terrible regardless. I'm sure I won't forget my earplugs again anytime soon!
