The cable holder and the connecting bar on the throttle body are both stainless. You can use a magnet on them to verify.
Anyhow, when I welded the bungs on my pregen, I just used regular steel rods with my oxy-acetylene torch.
The bungs are kind of frustrating because you have to do a lot of pull it off then put if back on then repeat, stuff.

Yeah i know. I don't plan on welding O2 bungs onto my stock exhaust. I'm looking around for a full exhaust since my rigged straight pipe wont cut it. Several, if not most/all aftermarket are stainless. But yeah, steel i would have no problem with.
