I went the pod filter route for power. I was planning on putting the airbox back in along with re-jetting next month after moving, going from 4,200 ft elevation to 200 ft.

Strange that you mention how the valve train sounds. I have been the only owner of the bike and the valve train has sounded like that since purchase.

After the move I will tear it down for a valve and cam chain check.

With the bike naked I also discovered the right fork seal to be leaking.
