Who uses it? I'm debating not using mine.

I really don't think that this flimsy piece of plastic will stop the chain from doing damage if the chain flies off.

Only trouble I see is maybe riding with a passenger, the passengers foot will be pretty close to the chain. Or if one was to go down and have the bike lay on you...

Also chain lube will be everywhere...
