GREY NINJA: So you are saying instead of connecting the booster cables to the battery, I should connect the positive directly to the starter? Or do you mean directly connecting the positive from the bike battery to the starter? Couldn't I also just connect a jumper to the posts of the starter solenoid to get the bike to crank?

Also, the picture of the starter is so small... do you have a bigger picture?
