guess the full length zipper is part of the difference as well.
full length zipper is nice, makes putting the pants on and off a lot easier. If you're doing it in a somewhat public place, it doesn't look as funny either because people see you have regular clothes on under the pants. I take mine off in my cube at work.
Zip in liner helps in the cooler weather too. Anything around 50 degrees and I put the liner in. I have ridden in temps in the single digits with these on and they kept my legs warm.
