I've had no problems with my cheap-o Venom rear stand. I'm not saying I would recommend it to a track junkie, but for the once in a while garage use it's been solid as a rock. I've moved the bike all over the place while it was up on the stands too, never a wiggle or wobble. I think it's about how you put it together.
Does it compare to a Pit-Bull? - hell no.
