They could have flattened a couple of beer cans, rolled the bike onto them & slid it in pretty much any direction that way.

It's a very easy way to deal with a disc locked bike if you can roll it a few inches either way.

If you're doubling up on disc locks put one just before the front calliper & another just after the rear, that way they'll have a slightly harder job getting anything under the wheels, lifting the bike onto it's side-stand to rotate a wheel is not exactly discreet.
