The battery is under the seat. I hooked up my battery tender wires and routed them up through the rear cowling under the plastics so that they poke out where the cut out for the helmet straps on the rear seat cowl is. That way I can unplug and stuff them in without having to remove anything from the bike or worry about something flapping about in the breeze.
