F4i is very upright, heavy (higher center of gravity), low gearing, ugly (imo), poor brakes, and fairly annoying to work on.
It's not as good a sport touring bike as a 650r/sv650, and it's not as good as a sport bike as a cbr600rr/zx6r/r6. While it's not bad at any one thing, it's not great at any one thing either imo.
Yes, I've ridden one (04). Good friend of mine used to have one. He replaced it with an 06' R6
