btw the chain adjust issue you described is caused when the lock nut for the adjuster nut on the adjuster bolt is not properly secured down into the adjuster nut... in other words, there are two nuts on the adjuster bolt. set the first one, then tighten the second one into the first one
... you know, so it doesn't happen again.
