Today I installed a 15 tooth front sprocket. Why didn't they do that at the factory? It is better in every way.

I also installed my new bar end mirrors and block off plates. MUCH better. The only problem I ran into was, with the threaded bar tubes, and the stock bar ends, the provided cap screws wee not long enough. I couldn't find a local source for the appropriate screws.

I have a bench lathe, so I turned 15mm off the ends of the stock bar ends. this gave a nice flat surface and allowed the use of the 40mm screws that came with he bar ends. Repainted the stock bar ends after machining, and assembled them with Green Locktite. The mirrors have absolutely no vibration and give a far better field of view.

Tomorrow will be my first major ride since I bought the bike two weeks ago. Plan on maybe 500-550 miles. Gonna go do Ozella Trail and environs around Brooksville.
