not only are single vehicle crashes the majority the most common causes are alcohol and speed. if sober and riding at a reasonable pace a single vehicle accident should not happen, granted it is something that can happen and as you add on speed to have fun the odds of it happening go up. I agree that it is much safer and preferable to get speed out of the way in a track course which is why I have been saving up for track days next summer.
