I might agree that parts of Vegas wouldn't be a great place to ride. Personally, I try to avoid areas where drunk drivers might be prevalent. So at night on weekends, I'm likely to avoid downtown areas where the bars are and college areas where the kids are. I'm sure there are great places to ride in and around Vegas, but I dunno if The Strip is one of them (I've seen
The Hangover, people drive drunk there at all hours). At least not at this point of your riding career. As others have said, take the MSF course.
Most important....don't give up! Unless you want to, in which case, do whatever you want
