See, I think this is where a general statement causes debate. To encourage the use of them, helmets have a lot of comfort features. Think of the vents in your helmet. How do they increase safety? Oxygen? lol They help to keep your head cool by venting the air in and letting the body heat escape. They are supposed to be comfortable so that you can wear them for any kind of ride (including those really long ones we brag about ). A proper fitting, good quality helmet is comfortable
