Just wasting time on a wet saturday.... Why not extend the camera in an 808 or mobius camera module and tuck the camera itself inside your helmet padding. You can mount the camera module to some sort of arm in the top center of your helmet. A run of a USB cable out the back could turn the camera on and off.
