My mileage varies temendously depending on the time of year.

In the winter I use my motorcycle strictly for commuting, which is about 12 miles round-trip, so that's only about 250 miles per month. Throw in the occasional short weekend jaunt when the weather is sunny and well above freezing, and my mileage is maybe 300-400 miles per month.

In the summer, however, the weather is much nicer, so my car sits and gathers dust. I also throw in some weekend getaways, etc. and my bike might get a 1000-1200 miles per month.

I haven't done any lengthy trips in some time; I have a couple weeks off in late-May and I'm hoping for decent weather. If it's decent for riding I hope to do a road trip of maybe 1500 miles during that time off.

I once read an article in Cycle World years ago that according to service records from various dealerships, the average motorcycle in the USA only gets rode about 1000 miles per year.
