On the contrary, I think people who get bored with the power (like me) spend plenty of time in the upper RPM's. When they reach the bike's power limit, that is when they want to upgrade. I had my 250 for almost a year and 8K miles and the power really started to feel like it was lacking near the end of that time.

There isn't a day that I don't miss the light weight and flickability of the baby Ninja though.
