I didn't like the idea of using nuts to hold my adapter on and i had little clearance as well with the rotor i used.

I took the mounting plate off of the stock brake caliper, and cut a few corners off it to make sure it did not hit the caliper ect... and the bolts just thread into it. I also trimmed a few mm off the bolts as well.

I like this better than nuts as this plate has the holes in it for both bolts and there is no way for the plate to spin loose like a nut could. Sure the bolts can still spin but it does take one thing out of the equation.

You have everything you need to do this if you took off the front caliper, but i guess you have to decide how much it is worth to you as the plate will be unusable after you trim it ect...

I'm sure you could get another one off ebay cheap if ever need be.
