It can look surprisingly good. My track fairings are entirely dipped except for the black on top of the tail, which is rattle can.
It is NOT durable, though. Expect to recoat frequently. When I took my windshield off after this photo was taken, a half-dollar-sized piece of dip came off with one of the screws.
The best thing about it is that it's zero commitment. You don't like it, peel it off and you're back to where you started.
At some point I'll replicate this color scheme, but in real paint. I proved that it looks good using dip, so mission accomplished.
