Other than my dogs, I have no family to carry around.
I get my groceries on my mountain bike 99% of the time. I can carry quite a load home with my saddle-bags and backpack. The only major difficulties are 24-packs of bottled water and 35-pound bags of dogfood. Pretty much everything else transports with no problem.
