How do folks in Aussie, the UK, HK & other countries where they drive on the left side of the road do it? They would have to let go of the throttle and/or brake lever to wave. Do they just not wave at one another? Or stick out right leg instead?

Any rider in those countries care to comment?
In the UK, we nod at each other. Typically, when thanking somebody (for instance for moving over to allow somebody through that's filtering quickly), we stick out a leg.
