Samer Abdel-Wahab, age 35, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015, after an accident in Jupiter, FL. He leaves behind his wife Heather, and their son Alister. His mother, Mariam, his father, Moustapha, his brother Karim, and his sisters Sarah and Mona also survive him. In addition, he also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Samer was a loving, caring, and honest man. He was a wonderful husband and father. He touched everyone he met with his kindness and sense of humor. He believed that virtue is its own reward, and his quiet generosity was testament to that.
Samer loved his work as an aerospace engineer, and was passionate about solving problems and making a difference in the world. At college and in his career, he said very little about his own accomplishments, but he was proud of his work, and successful due to his diligence and determination. He was an exceptional man in his field, and hoped to make the world a better place by putting his ideas into use.
His family wishes to thank everyone who has been so caring and supportive through this difficult time.
Samer will be remembered on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015, at Taylor and Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center Street, Jupiter, FL. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 PM, with a memorial service to follow from 8 to 9 PM. His family will return to Virginia with him for burial.
If family or friends wish to make a memorial donation in Samer's name, we ask that they be sent to Unicef, a charity that he supported.
