the kickstand switch is nothing more than a SPST switch that is open when the stand is down.

I have voltmeter tested kickstand it is closed when up and open when down.
Test procedure is to isolate kickstand and open and close bullet connectors.

What I'm saying is the kickstand switch and kickstand circuit seem to be floating..

Floating as in - not in the ground interrupt path
no matter what the open or closed state of the two leads that go to kickstand are it does nothing to the ignition circuit.
