Physically the carbs can be swapped, but all of the hoses have to change. The petcock from the fuel tank is in a different location and the idle adjustment screw has a different attachment. But I've run my 2007 carbs on my 2008. It didn't idle very well, but it was just to get it running for a day so I didn't screw around with setting the idle to get it working properly.
