Aftermarket turn signal replacement fast blinking problem

Hey guys,

So on a slow u-turn on a pretty steep hill (stupid, as I learned) I almost fully dropped my bike but caught it just before any fairings hit leaving just the right turn signal housing slight scratched and cracked (inches from a nasty one). So I went and bought a whole new housing and instead of the OEM one I bought the after market version. I noticed that it had one more wire than the original one that was in there (this is just a note for later, the wire is red). So it works all fine and dandy, except for this: When flicking the turn signal switch to activate the right side, the turn signals blink normally...for a couple of seconds. Then they begin to blink rapidly. I'm not sure what causes it and there seems to be no specific thing to recreate it.

Could it be the wires are in wrong? Could it be that the third red wire is just kind of sitting there chillin`?

Any help is great, thanks all.
