I've noticed that women tend to drive more aggressively than guys do. They won't let you merge in front of them, even if you have your signal on. Male drivers are usually more aware of their surroundings and I find that they move over more frequently to allow me to lane split.
I agree on the emotional part as well. My wife is usually a sweet person, but the road rage gets her easily. Someone cuts her off and she gets pretty mad. I have to remind her to let it go. It's like driving makes women bi-polar.
